Rahinee Valverde is a union carpenter apprentice in Westchester County, New York, and a great example of exciting changes in our union. Rahinee knew she didn't want an office job, but wasn't sure how to find a career that was a good fit for her. She found the Carpenters union and, through it, the training and support from other members that's changed her life. She's enjoying learning the craft and earning good wages and benefits has given her confidence in her future.

Teamwork, education and a changing culture that's breaking gender stereotypes: that's the New England Carpenters union.

Congratulations to Rahinee and thanks to the Carpenter Contractor Trust's Construction Network for sharing her story.
