Before I started teaching at the UBC Job Corps, my work in the field included:

I worked in the Interior Systems sector of the construction industry throughout the Greater Kansas City area. During my career, I worked for PCI of Kansas City. E & K of Kansas City where I held a lead role. Then worked for McCowan Gordon doing general carpentry work. After leaving MCG I worked for United CSI as a foreman. Left United to work for Square up of Kansas City where I progressed from foreman to General foreman and Ultimately Operations Manager. These roles provided me with extensive hands-on construction experience, leadership skills, project management expertise, and team supervision that I now apply in my instruction at UBC Job Corps.

The best/most interestingthing about my job is:

The most rewarding part of working with UBC Job Corps is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives, much like I did as a personal trainer. Each student arrives with a unique background, and it is incredibly fulfilling to watch them grow—not only in their carpentry abilities, but also in their confidence, work ethic, and professionalism. Seeing students graduate, enter apprenticeships, and build successful careers as union carpenters is truly the highlight of my work.

My favorite things to do when not working include:

Spending time with family, I am an avid outdoorsman, Archery, Spending time at the Lake of The Ozarks.
